We raise rabbits on pasture

Our rabbits have access to fresh vegetation every day and plenty of room to hop around, while providing nutrients to the soil. Want to see our process? Keep reading…

We believe in regenerative agriculture.

“Regenerative prioritizes soil health while simultaneously encompassing high standards for animal welfare and worker fairness. The idea is to create farm systems that work in harmony with nature to improve quality of life for every creature involved.”

Kits are born in warm nests filled with fur pulled by mom.

This is the only stage in our process where kits are not on pasture. They are safe and sound with mom, while she provides the most nutritious milk for growth in a controlled setting.

Kits are naturally weaned around 6 weeks and relocated to pasture.

We move the enclosures to new pasture every day! Raising rabbits on pasture allows the animals access to fresh vegetation, exercise, and engage in natural behaviors. This increases quality of life and builds muscle. The meat produced is low in fat and high in Omega-3 fatty acids.

Kits grow out on pasture for about 7 weeks.

Raising rabbits on pasture adds nutrients to the soil. Fertility from rabbit manure improves pasture production, and the direct application of manure to the field eliminates the need to make and move compost for part of the year.
